What range of industrial gas appliances does GENEX service?

Gas Turbines: we use and work on brands such as Siemens, GE (LM and Frame), Solar Turbines, Capstone. The LM or Frame series of GE engines are typically used for onshore power generation, whereas the Solar Turbines packages are suitable for offshore and small gas compression applications.

Gas Reciprocating Engines: MTU, Deutz, Caterpillar, Jenbacher, Waukesha. Distributed throughout the mining industry in Western Australia. The bread and butter of power generation equipment.

Boilers, burners, rotary kilns, industrial dryers, and furnaces: used for mineral processing in mining, chemical processing, and heating in commercial premises.

GENEX will work with any industrial fuel type ranging from Natural Gas (NG), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), Biogas, Landfill Gas, and Hydrogen gas.

Combined Heat & Power (CHP) or commonly know as Co-generation is when an engine or turbine waste heat is recovered and used for something within the principle process. This may be heat for drying grain, or for adding heat to a chemical process.

Combined Cooling Heat and Power (CCHP) or otherwise known as Tri-generation. Typically used for food industry and chemical processing facilities.

Hydrogen electrolysers and fuel cell technology.

Are Hydrogen Electrolysers & Fuel Cells considered to be type-B gas appliances?

Yes. According to Building & Energy, Hydrogen Electrolysers and Hydrogen Fuel Cells are deemed to be Type-B industrial gas appliances and thus must meet the requirements of the relevant industrial gas standards.

This may very well change in the future but is currently the requirement. Building & Energy also like to be notified of any proposed Hydrogen projects early in the development stages.
Refer to the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety website for further details.
